Care & Safety Instructions

To keep your candle looking beautiful and functioning safely, please follow these care guidelines:

  • Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Remove wooden lid before lighting.
  • Trim the wick to 6mm before burning to reduce smoke, prevent tunnelling, and extend the life of your candle.
  • Never leave unattended. Even for a brief moment, a lit candle can quickly become a fire hazard if left unattended. 
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets. Children and pets can be attracted to flames and may accidentally knock over a candle, causing a fire or burns. 
  • Keep away from flammable materials. Maintain a safe distance from curtains, paper, furniture, and other flammable objects. 
  • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Use a snuffer or cover to extinguish candles. Avoid blowing out candles, as this can cause the wax to splatter and risk restarting the flame. 
  • Do not place the wooden lid back on the candle until it is completely cool.
  • Inspect regularly. Check the vessel for any cracks, damage, or excessive soot build-up.
  • Dispose of candles responsibly. When the candle is completely burned down, dispose of the vessel and wax safely, according to local guidelines.

We've been working hard behind the scenes designing our own hand poured candles from clean-burning soy wax and beautiful fragrance oils. The team have worked really hard to put together a gorgeous collection of scents, inspired by memories of life on the farm.

We chose soy wax because it's a natural, sustainable product that burns slower than traditional wax, giving you beautiful candles that are good for the planet and last longer.

    Soy wax has many benefits, it's clean-burning and doesn't release pollutants which is kinder for the planet and your home.

    It comes from a sustainable natural source - the soy bean - and is renewable unlike paraffin wax.

    It burns slower too, resulting in long lasting candles that keep your home cosy, and save you some pennies!
