Meet The Humble Hare Team

Meet The Humble Hare Team

At The Humble Hare, everything begins with heart. We’re a small, family-run business rooted in the countryside and inspired by the great outdoors. Our team is bound together by a shared love of thoughtful design, natural materials, and a genuine commitment to sustainability.

Behind every product is a pair of caring hands, a creative spark, and a belief that the little details make all the difference. We don’t just make things for the home—we craft pieces that carry stories, celebrate nature, and bring joy to everyday living.

Most importantly, we believe in keeping things real. Kind to people, kind to the planet, and always made with love. Here’s a closer look at the people who make The Humble Hare what it is today.

I’m Laura! As the director of The Humble Hare, I pour my love for nature and creativity into everything we do. What started as a simple passion for the outdoors has grown into a business that celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability, and thoughtful living. I’m driven by the idea of creating products that not only bring beauty into people’s homes but also carry a deeper connection to the natural world around us.

When I’m not in the workshop or dreaming up new designs, you’ll most likely find me out in the countryside with my family (and Meeka of course) or simply pausing to take in the little details that often inspire our collections. For me, The Humble Hare is more than a business; it’s a way of sharing that love of nature and encouraging others to live more mindfully, surrounded by pieces made with care and purpose.

I’m Ryan! As the director of The Humble Hare, I’m the hands-on problem solver of the team. If something needs fixing, building, or engineering, I’m usually the one to make it happen. From developing new product ideas to making sure every detail is just right, I love bringing the practical side of our vision to life.

When Laura isn’t giving me extra jobs I didn’t ask for, you’ll probably find me under the bonnet of a car, happily tinkering with an engine. I’ve always loved figuring out how things work and making them run smoothly—whether it’s machinery, products, or even the day-to-day running of the business. For me, The Humble Hare is about more than creating beautiful, products it’s about making sure they’re built to last, crafted with care, and made to be part of people’s lives for years to come.

Eleanor is our in-house artist, bringing The Humble Hare’s collections to life with beautiful watercolour designs. From delicate countryside animals to nature-inspired details, her artwork gives each product its unique charm and character. Every brushstroke is rooted in her love for the outdoors and her eye for capturing the little details that make nature so special.

In the studio, you’ll rarely find her without a cup of tea close by, and when the paints are set aside, she loves to unwind with her knitting needles. Her creativity flows not just through her art but through everything she does, adding a touch of warmth and personality to the heart of The Humble Hare.

Lucy is our workshop pro, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. With an eye for detail and a steady pair of hands, she helps turn ideas into beautifully finished products, making sure every piece meets the care and quality we stand for at The Humble Hare. Her practical skills and creativity make her an invaluable part of the team.

When she’s not busy in the workshop, Lucy can usually be found in the kitchen baking up something delicious—her cakes are just as loved as her craftsmanship! And if she’s not baking, she’s out in the fresh air enjoying long countryside walks with her schnauzer, Brian, who keeps everyone entertained with his cheeky personality.

Meeka and Boris are our much-loved office companions—our loyal dog and cat who bring daily joy (and a little mischief) to The Humble Hare. The best of friends, they’re rarely apart and can often be found curled up together by the office doors, quietly watching the world go by.

Meeka brings boundless energy and wagging-tail welcomes, while Boris adds a calm, watchful presence with his gentle purrs. Together, they keep spirits high, remind us to pause for a moment of calm and picture taking, they help us embody the warmth and family feel at the heart of our little business.
