Candle Care Guide
Our soy wax candles are hand poured on our family farm in the Essex countryside, and inspired by memories of home. To keep your candle looking beautiful and functioning safely, please follow these care guidelines.
Fire Safety
Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Children and pets can be attracted to flames and may accidentally knock over a candle, causing a fire or burns.
Keep away from flammable materials. Maintain a safe distance from curtains, paper, furniture, and other flammable objects.
Never leave a lit candle unattended. Even for a brief moment, a lit candle can quickly become a fire hazard if left unattended.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
Lighting your candle
Remove the wooden lid before lighting.
Trim the wick to 6mm before burning to reduce smoke, prevent tunnelling, and extend the life of your candle.
Use a snuffer or cover to extinguish candles. Avoid blowing out candles, as this can cause the wax to splatter and risk restarting the flame.
Do not place the lid back on the candle until it is completely cool.
Cleaning & Care
Your glass candle vessel and wooden lid can be dusted with a soft cloth.
Inspect your candle vessel regularly. Check the vessel for any cracks, damage, or excessive soot build-up.
Dispose of candles responsibly. When the candle is completely burned down, dispose of the vessel and wax safely, according to local guidelines.
