Splashback Tile Information

We offer marble tiles in a range of sizes, colours and designs. Both plain, decorative, and personalised.

Our mosaic tiles are supported by a sturdy mesh backing for straightforward and secure installation. This feature simplifies the installation process, ensuring that every piece aligns perfectly and offers durable hold over time. The mosaic sheets are designed to be trimmed or cut down to suit your space.

When ordering mosaic murals, please note that you will receive the artwork designed across the number of mosaic sheets as indicated in the table above. This does not include extra plain tiles. Please see the dimensions in the table above for the area the mural splashback will cover. If you require additional tiles to complete your project please see our plain mosaic sheets here, or browse the rest of our marble tile collection for further ideas.

How many tiles do I need?

Please confirm the number of tiles required for your project with your tiler or builder before purchasing, as all orders are made to order and are non-returnable.

We recommend that you allow for 10% wastage on top of the exact square meterage when ordering. If you are using a brick bond pattern for your tiles, up to 15% may be required.

Please note that if you require extra tiles for your project after your initial order, we cannot guarantee that they will be from the same batch as your first order. Marble is a natural stone and colour and markings will vary from batch to batch.

We do not provide recommendations on how many tiles are necessary for your project, please consult your tiler. The Humble Hare Ltd cannot be held responsible for any shortfall or over-estimation of tiles ordered.

Do you provide the grout, filler or upstands?

The Humble Hare provides tiles only. We do not provide grout, filler, upstands etc, as we appreciate that every customer's personal taste is unique! We recommend discussing the grout colour and style with your tiler or builder, who will be able to advise you on the options available.

Handling & Safety

Marble is a heavy natural stone, and if dropped could cause injury. Take care when moving the tiles, using two hands to safely support the weight of the product. We recommend a two man lift to safely handle the product.

Marble is a durable stone but if dropped could break. A broken tile may have sharp edges, take care to dispose of a broken tile safely. If a heavy object is dropped onto the tile it is likely to cause the tile to break.

Our marble tiles are not toys, and are not intended for use by children.

Cleaning & Care

All tiles are sealed before leaving our workshop, however some customers do apply additional sealant when tiling. This is purely personal preference.

Once your project is complete and the tiles have been applied to your wall or floor, they can be cleaned using an antibacterial spray and soft cloth. Acidic cleaners are not recommended, as they can be harmful to the sealant. Use products that are suitable for cleaning natural stone.
