Meet Our Sheep - The Stars of The Great Escape

Meet Our Sheep - The Stars of The Great Escape

We’re thrilled to introduce you to the lovable and mischievous characters who inspired our new design, The Great Escape. Our rescue sheep have unique personalities, and each member of our woolly gang has a story to tell and quirks that make them truly unforgettable. Let’s take a closer look at the stars of the show!

Bert is the friendliest sheep in the herd, always eager to make new friends. You’ll often find him trotting up to the gate with a hopeful look, especially when he spots someone heading back up to the workshop after lunch in case they have an apple core for him. Bert’s love for people might have something to do with his upbringing—he was hand-weaned as a lamb, and ever since, he’s been a social butterfly.

Donny holds the prestigious title of being the first sheep to join the farm over a decade ago. As the elder of the group, he exudes wisdom and charm, but don’t let his age fool you—Donny is the most talkative member of the herd! He’s quick to greet visitors with a boisterous "baa!" that echoes across the paddock.

The only girl in the group, Teddy has firmly established herself as the queen of the paddock. She’s not afraid to put the boys in their place and struts her stuff with confidence! Teddy is easily recognisable by her adorable freckles on her ears and the brown patches on her legs. These markings make it easy to spot her even when the herd is scattered across the field.

Unlike his outgoing companions, David can often be found at the edge of the paddock, content in his own little world. But don’t mistake his shyness for aloofness—David has a gentle spirit that shines through once you earn his trust. When it’s shearing time, though, David’s true talent comes to light: he’s the fastest escape artist in the group, keeping us all on our toes with his quick reflexes!

Lenny is the life of the party and a sheep with a serious love for a good scratch. His favourite pastime? Rubbing up against the fence posts until they wobble—or, occasionally, topple over entirely. This mischievous habit has earned him a reputation for being a bit of a troublemaker, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. His antics add a lot of humour to life on the farm, and his playful personality inspired a key detail in The Great Escape design.

We've introduced you to the five woolly stars of The Great Escape, but there's one more! Can you spot our favourite little robin? He features on every piece in the collection, pinching some of the sheep's wool to line his nest.

When we were designing The Great Escape we knew we wanted to capture the humour, charm, and individuality of our rescue sheep. From Bert’s hopeful look at the gate to Lenny’s infamous fence-scratching escapades, every element of the artwork reflects a piece of their unique personalities. These sheep are more than just a part of our farm—they’re a part of our family, and we’re thrilled to share their stories with you.
